READING WEEK CELEBRATION 8TH SEPTEMBER – 14TH SEPTEMBER
To mark the occasion of International Literacy Day on 8th September CBSE announced the Celebration of Reading Week from 8th September to 14th September 2020. To celebrate Reading week and to promote reading habits among students, various activities are being conducted for all the children from class 1 to 10.
Class I and II – ( Wednesday 09 – 09 – 20 )
Story Telling Competition
Class III and IV– ( Friday 11 – 09 -20 )
Character costume party where the students can dress up as their
favourite children’s book character.
Class V and VI – (Friday 11-09-20)
Sharing a book Review, Reading a story and summarize it.
Class VII and VIII – (Monday 14 -09-20)
Reading a story or poem and drawing a picture based on it
Class IX and X – (Monday 14 -09-20)
ReadebateCompetition. Debating and defending the actions of characters in the story/book they have read.
Common
- Tuesday,8-09-20 : e-links will be posted in the group which the teachers will share with the students to read stories online.
- Saturday, 12-09-20 : An online session with be conducted with any literary figure to bring reading to life and to inspire the students to read more.
- Create comic strips based the story given to them. ( Interested students can do it)
Timings : All competitions will be conducted from 6 pm
All the winners of this competition will be awarded certificates when the school reopens.
NAVARATHRI CELEBRATION 23rd OCTOBER TO 25th OCTOBER
Sadguru Public School believes in celebrating all the common festivals and events irrespective of religion and region. This allows our students from varied backgrounds to share their own culture and heritage as well as be appreciative of that of others.
With an aim to spread joy and happiness and to lift the spirit of our kids and give them a hope for a brighter tomorrow we have arranged a three day long Navarathri celebration for all our students. Various class wise competitions will be conducted and we hope that all our students will take part in it and help us to make it a grand success as all our other programs.
Class 1 &2 : Dressing up in traditional Garba dress (Boys and Girls)
Class 3 &4 :Thali Decoration
Class 5 &6 : Quiz ( Significance of Navarathri )
Class 7 &8 : Decorating Pots
Class 9 & 10: Doll Making
23-10-20 :- Class 9 & 10 Pot Decoration
Students can take pots of any texture and material( plastic, mud, glass etc.). It can be decorated with any material. Send a video of one minute duration to the class teacher by 6pm on 23-10-20. The class teachers can send it to Prajith sir and also to me to be posted on facebook.
Class 7 &8 :- Doll Making
Students can make dolls from any material (cloth, clay, sponge etc). Send a video of one minute duration to the class teacher by 6pm on 23-10-20. The class teachers can send it to Prajith sir and also to me to be posted on facebook.
24-10-20 :- Class 3 & 4 Thali Decoration
Students can take a medium sized plate of any material (plastic, steel, glass etc). You can decorate it with any material. Send a video of one minute duration to the class teacher by 6pm on 24-10-20. The class teachers can send it to Prajith sir and also to me to be posted on facebook.
Class 1 & 2 Dressing up in Traditional Garba Dress
Students may send a one minute video presentation to the class teacher. The class teacher can select the winner ( one best from the boys and one from the girls) from each class. All the videos can be sent to be posted on facebook.
Class 5 & 6 Quiz
All students are instructed to participate. The link for the quiz competition will be posted in the class group on 24-10-20 evening 4 pm.

- Students who wish to present their dance video can send a video of one minute duration with devotional songs to their class teacher by 6pm on 25-10-20. Judges – Karthika, Sruthi, Anjusha. The judges can form a group and all the videos can be posted in that group.
- Students can also send their video of one minute duration singing devotional songs.Judges – Rajani, Reshmi C M, Rijuna. The judges can form a group and all the videos can be posted in that group.
- All the videos should be sent to the class teacher by 24-10-20, 7pm.
CHILDRENS’ DAY AND DIWALI CELEBRATION 14TH NOVEMBER
Dear Parents and Students,
It is a twofold celebration for all of us in Sadguru this week, as we are celebrating Children’s Day and Diwali simultaneously. To motivate our students to perform and excel, we have arranged many programmes for all classes.
Dear children, it is a time for you to uncover your personal aptitude and showcase your skill with innovative techniques and creativity. We also wish all our students to participate. This competition will surely be helpful in keeping you engaged in productive activities during your stay inside your houses and also help us to be connected.
Class I – Students can play the role of Chacha Nehru.
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph to the class teacher, by 13th November 10am.
Class II – Draw a picture of a garden.
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph of you holding the completed picture, to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Class III – Students can play any musical instrument.
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph to the class teacher, by 13th November 10am.
Class IV – Speech on the topic ‘Children’s Day’
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph to the class teacher, by 13th November 10am.
Class V – Making a Diwali Greeting Card
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph of you holding the completed picture, to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Class VI – Making a unique Diwali craft
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph of you holding the completed one, to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Class VII – Making lamps and decorating it
Make at least 5 lamps. Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Class VIII – Rangoli
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also the photograph to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Class IX & X – Poster Designing ‘ Say no to Firecrackers this Diwali’
Send a video of 1 minute duration and also a photograph of you holding the completed picture to the class teacher by 13th November 10am.
Send all the photographs to be posted on Facebook by 12pm on 13th ( Friday)
CHRISTMAS & NEW YEAR CELEBRATION
Dear Students,
Let’s celebrate CHRISTMAS, one of the biggest festivals in the world and also for an entertaining distraction from the study stress brought by the Term exam. Be excited and enrich yourself with the positive energy of happiness and celebration.
A multi–activity, inter class competition has been conceptualized to showcase & celebrate the multi-dimensional talent of our young students. It has a slew of competitive events & different activities with an aim to give our students an exposure of the competitive world and thereby gain confidence through participation and achievement. We expect maximum participation from the students.

Class 5, 6 & 7 : Christmas Tree Decoration
